“I’m going to help you take pictures for the computer, Dad.”
“What computer, baby?”
“The computer where you write about real estate. I’m going to help you and take some pictures for you.”
Here’s the grand result …
“Okay, kiddo … make sure to get closer to the car window. And don’t include the Carlos Quentin bobblehead doll.”
“And make sure Daddy’s slowed the car down to at least 50 …”
“That’s a great picture of the RV gate! Oh … you meant to get the house?”
“Is there a sinkhole …”
“… or am I parked on a hill? (The grass looks great, though, doesn’t it?)”
“We’re almost there, babe … the shadow’s my fault.”
“Just missed the peak of the house and the rotation’s off slightly … but it’s better than 80% of the photos on the MLS.
“Nice work, kiddo. Let’s head over to Build-A-Bear.”

I say the last one is better than 90% of what you’ll see in the MLS.
And I’ve seen worse than ALL the other ones.

Our daughter (10) has a great interest in photography and even has a website for her digital images. She hasn’t asked to do houses yet, but it’s amazing seeing it through their eyes, isn’t it?
I rate this five stars on the “awwww” scale

Jay - I have too. That’s the scary part.
Brian - Absolutely. It was so innocent, too. She just picked up the camera I keep in the back seat and decided it was time to help me take some photos. I think it was my post on Saturday in Tempe that got her thinking of it.
Lani - Thanks for the five stars. She took a ton of pictures around my house too … her Painted Ponies, the puppy, pictures on the wall … there seems to be a definite interest there.
She’s also a pretty decent artist. Keep in mind I’m speaking as her dad but she’s surprised me more than once with her eye for detail at only eight.
