Watch Those Typos

Phoenix real estate

avatar.jpgAs mentioned previously, address-related typos entered in the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service now are subject to a $200 fine.

This is such a serious matter that the following pop-up message appears when you’re attempting to save an active a new listing:

“BY SELECTING SAVE AS ACTIVE YOU ARE STATING THE LISTING INFORMATION IS TRUE AND ACCURATE TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE. ONCE YOU SELECT “SAVE” YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MODIFY THE ADDRESS, UNIT NUMBER, LOT NUMER, AREA/GRID OR ASSESSOR NUMBER FIELDS. PLEASE VERIFY THIS INFORMATION BEFORE SAVING AS ACTIVE. [emphasis added - gleefully, even].”

Hmmmm … to whom will ARMLS be making out their $200 check?

  1. Being in the real estate biz - $XXX,XXX yearly

    Joining local Board/MLS - a few hundred a year.

Burning moronic MLS bureaucrat in public? Priceless!

  2. You’re my hero, Jeff … :-)

  4. To Funny! Fined. That person should fired for making your MLS look so bad to the public. Ouch!

  5. Dear ARMLS - please make your fine check payable to:

    J-A-Y T-H-O-M-P-S-O-N

Edyn - the public won’t see that. Only the paying members that get fined for typos in their listings get to see the ARMLS typo….

  6. They see it now!

  7. […] And I can assure you Michael Wurzer’s folks wouldn’t allow the same typo to remain on the system for months on end. […]
