A Note From a Canadian Buyer
Posted on April 19th, 2008 by Jonathan Dalton
“Sheila”, as I called her once upon a time, contacted me through the blog last fall to purchase real estate here in Phoenix. Several trips to Gilbert and 700 miles on the car later, we found her a new home in Power Ranch; she took possession of the house about two weeks ago and has been enjoying temperatures that don’t start with a negative.
Asked if she’d mind writing a little something about me for the blog, she was happy to oblige. She even was kind enough to add a few keywords for the Google gods.
As a Canadian exploring snowbird retirement options in the Phoenix area, I found Jonathan through the internet. I spent quite a bit of time on his varied blogs reading about market conditions and looking at properties. I initially approached Jonathan through e-mail queries and found him to be highly responsive. Within weeks I was flying out to Phoenix to explore the market further. Jonathan not only listened to my needs and didn’t try to sell me more than I could afford, he went out of his way to show me listings in areas that were outside his normal service area. In the end we choose to build a home and have recently moved in. Jonathan helped me to negotiate with the builder and followed-up throughout the process.
Jonathan is a very approachable and knowledgeable realtor and I would recommend him to Canadians looking for Phoenix investment or retirement real estate.
I’m allowed to use her real first name now so thanks, Nancy! I hope you continue to enjoy your new home … and send some more friends down here, too!
