Dalton’s Arizona Homes Making a Change
Posted on January 10th, 2008 by Jonathan Dalton
About three and a half years ago I walked into the offices of Century 21 Tradin’ Places fresh out of real estate school. Two minutes into my meeting with the owner I knew I was going to sign up. And thus my real estate career was born.
As Meatloaf once sang, that was long ago and it was far away.
It’s not a question of anything being wrong with Century 21 Arizona Foothills (we were bought out in 2005) or with the Century 21 brand. Sometimes, it’s just time for a change.
That’s where I am now and where I’ve been for the past month.
And that’s why you’ll notice the banner has changed; later today you’ll see the addition of the red, white and blue hot air balloon from RE/MAX Desert Showcase. (One of the side effects have having a fairly diverse web presence is it’s going to take me most of the day to get all my profiles and logos updated.)
I compared technology. I compared cost. I compared what is provided. And at the end of the day, I believe I can better serve buyers and sellers in the Phoenix market with this new company.
Change isn’t easy … I leave behind many friends as well as my mentors. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their ideas, their knowledge, their input.
But change often is necessary to allow us to do what we want to do in the manner we believe it ought to be done.
And so we move on. Still here at the Dalton’s Arizona Homes Blog. Still in the real estate industry. Still here with Tobey. Just with a different look, feel and outlook.
Onward …

at least you don’t have to worry about the gold jacket any more
congrats and all the best at your new hangout.
Good luck at your new digs! I got started in real estate in ‘04, and I made a company switch last year; it was just time for a change. Best decision I ever made! Best wishes to you, I bet you have a fantastic year!
Heather
As a CENTURY 21 franchisee, I hate to see you leave the brand, but I am certain you will be successful in your new digs. Best of luck!
Gold jacket = Purple cow

Thanks for the good wishes, everybody. It’s much appreciated!
Jonathan,
I applaud your ongoing efforts at transpaency. I would not have expected you to use the words “hot air”.
Therefore, I will testify and provide witness that Jonathan is not the source of the hot air for the real estate balloon that will be on his blog. While I’ve seen him expend some hot air in person, it was all in good taste and not enough to fill or float a balloon.
Congratulations of the move. Have a great year.
Congratulations and good luck! At last a Re/Max agent with no hot air, guaranteed!
